YOUR ATTENTION IS DRAWN TO OUR CONDITIONS OF HIRE WHICH SHOULD BE CAREFULLY READ AND UNDERSTOOD AS THEY FORM THE BASIS UPON WHICH ALL HOLIDAYS ARE OFFERED.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Weekly holidays operate from Saturday to Saturday and your cottage will be ready for you from 3p.m. onwards or by special arrangement. All cottages must be vacated by 10a.m. to allow for cleaning, ready for the next visitors.

LOCATION AND CONTACT

You will receive details of the owner or their representatives’ name and instructions on how to find the cottage upon receipt of the final balance being paid, which is usually well in advance of the holiday. The keyholder’s telephone number and any special arrangements will be made clear and we can also advise on parking arrangements.

LINEN

In most cases bed linen is provided and the beds will be made up ready for your arrival. The provision of linen is as stated within the brochure description for each cottage. If cots are provided you will need to bring your own linen in all instances. Towels are only included where stated or may be provided at extra cost and you should always check the individual cottage details carefully.

CENTRAL HEATING AND FUEL CHARGES

In most cases the brochure price includes fuel and services. If specifically excluded however the extra charge will be made clear within the brochure description. Electricity and/or gas may be available by slot meter and in such cases this will be made clear and you should ensure you have a supply of suitable coins.

CLEANING

All our cottages are cleaned between holidays and made ready for the new occupants so it is essential that you vacate the property by the time advised on your departure day. We do ask that you leave the cottage clean and tidy and that the contents are left as you found them.

PETS

Many cottages allow one well behaved pet and it is entirely your responsibility to see that the animal is under control both inside and outside at all times as you will be held responsible for any “accidents”. Pets should never be left in the cottage unattended and you must be aware of rules about dogs on beaches and the countryside code, since this is an area with many free-roaming sheep where farmers do not hesitate to take action should any dog worry their stock. Pets are charged at £30 per week with additional animals being considered by separate arrangement.

VISITORS WITH MOBILITY DIFFICULTIES

We are keen to advise any such visitors as to the suitability or otherwise of each property in terms of individual requirements. Due to the nature of some villages, the location of some cottages is via steps and narrow paths and the cottages may have spiral staircases etc. Others are ideal for older visitors or wheelchair access. Please telephone to clarify.

EXTRA PERSONS

Under no circumstances should any property be occupied by more than the stated number at any time during the holiday.

ALTERATIONS TO BOOKINGS

We cannot accept change of holiday property once the deposit has been received, but we may be able to alter the week subject to availability. Such requests must be made within 56 days prior to the start of your holiday and a charge of £40 +VAT will be made to cover administration costs.

SHORT WINTER BREAKS

These are available for 3 nights over a weekend (Saturday to Tuesday) or 4 nights midweek (Tuesday to Saturday) in the cottages available during the periods advised. Often these bookings can be made at short notice at a time when the area is generally quiet and more peaceful than during the main season. The ideal romantic bolthole.

PRICES

Prices as shown are inclusive of all charges except those specifically referred to in the individual property description, booking fee (£30) or where insurance and pet charges (£30 for 1st pet, additional charges may apply thereafter) are applicable. The price categories are shown at the back of this brochure and the weekly rate payable relates to Saturday to Saturday but seasonal price changes become effective from the Wednesday prior to the arrival date. Specific charges are levied for Christmas and New Year weeks.
